All the Sales on a Variety of Portable Air Conditioners We Found this 4th of July!

If you’re struggling to stay cool, but don’t want to invest in a window AC (or just don’t have those type of windows), a portable AC may be the way to go.  The good news is that we found some really great portable air conditioners on sale this 4th of July!

Portable AC units used to have a bad rep for being difficult to use and not really providing enough cool air.  They’ve really come a long way and there are a bunch of cool options and features you get to choose from, not to mention a bunch of smart portable options that allow you to control them, program them, set timers, and more from the comfort of your smartphone. While not all portable ACs are cheaper than their window counterpart, we were able to find some really great deals on some of the top selling units during the Fourth of July online sale promotion.  Some are even upwards of 25% off right now, so jump on those if you’re ready!

As you can see the overall deals are ranging as low as 15% off all the way up to 35% off from some of the top online retailers this 4th of July! Since these have come a long way over the years, there are plenty of options, pros, and cons based on each model and brand, really.  Similar to regular window units, you can choose by BTUs based on the size of your room.  But on top of that some offer dehumidifier options, dual fans, carbon filter systems, dual hose operation, and more.  It can be a bit confusing, especially if you’re new to this space. We checked in with the AC testing experts at Wire Cutter, Insider, and This Old House to see which portable units made their list.  They’ve researched and tested some of the top models to see which were worth it and which you could pass on.  Check them out if you want to read all of their reviews, but one of the main takeaways is that some of the top portable ac brands they feel are the best include the Midea Duo, Whytner, LG, Frigidaire, and Black + Decker.
