Why We’re So Obsessed!
It’s always the perfect time to start a total home improvement project and Home Depot is our go-to when it comes to supplying everything we need to get it done. And while they’re known for their power tools, kitchen and bathroom installations, did you know they actually have some pretty great home decor, furniture and appliance options too?
We’re not ashamed to say we love browsing through the aisles of Home Depot (especially their garden section), but we have almost just as much fun shopping them online. We actually find it easier (and faster) to find what we’re looking for and they have free 2-day shipping on thousands of items. You really can’t go wrong.
One of their biggest sales of the year that rivals any Black Friday or Cyber Monday sale, is their “Black Friday in July” sale event. It’s the perfect time of year to get some really great deals because there’s still time in the summer and early fall to get those outdoor projects off the ground. You can save up to 50% off some of the most popular items and even gear up for the upcoming season. It’s all amazing and all worth it!
What’s Their Promo Code Policy?
Home Depot actually doesn’t have promo code discount or coupons in the way you’re thinking. Meaning, we don’t have any of them here and some of those other sites that claim to…well…those usually never work. There are some that they have when you go direct to their site like:
One last tip to be sure to check out is their Rebate Center. People always forget to check that out especially when they’re shopping for their appliances. You can find rebate savings there of, literally, thousands of dollars. All you have to do is type in which product you’re looking for and it’ll let you know which rebates are available. We’ve seen savings on washers and dryers in the $200 range and other savings of up to 20% off, which is super helpful.

The Deal With The Home Depot Sale Calendar
All throughout the year, The Home Depot seems to have a ton of different sales happening. While there’s always a daily sale happening (and they’ll, not only, price-match a competitor’s price, but take an extra 10% off) it’s important to know when some of their biggest events are happening. Here’s the breakdown:
Black Friday & Cyber Monday: From what we’ve experienced, this is one of their biggest events of the year. It takes place at the end of November and you’ll see deals ranging anywhere from 30% – 50% off originally priced merch in almost every category they cover. This isn’t just the time when they’re getting rid of last seasons stuff, so you can typically find great deals on things like select appliances, snow blowers, portable heaters, artificial Christmas trees, holiday lights and decor, and so much more.
Spring & Summer Black Friday: Yes, they actually have major Black Friday sales in both the Spring and the Summer (July). This is when you can get amazing deals on things that are seasonal related, like select lawn mowers, air conditioners, outdoor patio furniture, grills, small and large appliances, and more. Honestly, we almost like this one better than their November event!
Memorial Day, Labor Day & Veterans Day: These are some of the standard Home Depot sales, like anyone else would have, but besides being able to save on average 25% – 50% off select must-haves for both indoor and outdoor, veterans (whether active or retired) can take an extra 10% off on any of these holiday events. Pretty great!
The Kitchen & Bath Sale: While you may want to upgrade your kitchen or bathroom at any point during the year, you can typically save up to 35% off select kitchen and bath best-sellers from January – March. This is where you’ll find the most on sale. Other times of year you’ll definitely still see savings, but it’ll most likely be on less products.
